An Anti-Drug Rally for “United Against Drugs: Youth Red Cross Takes a Stand”

The three-day zonal level orientation and training camp for Youth Red Cross volunteers and programme officers (Tirunelveli, Tenkasi, Thoothukudi, and Kanyakumari districts) was held at the Papansam Tiruvalluvar College from 24 to 26 January 2025. On the third day of the camp, volunteers and programme officers, along with Indian Red Cross Society district administrators, organized an awareness rally on drug eradication for the general public.
Five volunteers, K. Esakkiammal Preethi and P. Chitra of II B.Com, M. Arumugakani and P. Thangewari of II B.A English, K. Anitha of II B.Sc IT along with the Youth Red Cross(YRC) programme officer Mrs. R. A. Krishnaveni of Rosemary College of Arts and Science (women) attended the camp and actively participated in the event, which aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.
